How-To Style a Jumpsuit

jumpsuit // sweater c/o // fringe bag c/o // watch // necklaces {similar here and here} // shoes
The doors to the StyleME session for this season are still open and I’m featuring a few more of the must-have’s from the list. Yay, for sneak peeks!
If you don’t have a jumpsuit, run out and grab one! You’ll thank me later ;). Seriously, there are so many ways to style it {see the style note below}.
I’ve done this one several ways, and you’ve probably seen at least one of them on IG. The best thing about this one is it can stand alone, be layered up, decked out in jewels, and belted!
I went simple for this look with another favorite piece for summer: the sweater cape. Yes, you can… and should have a great summer sweater. This one is fab! And forget the old myth about not mixing black and brown. Add a bit of boho with accessories like my fringe bag/clutch and gold necklaces.
Okay, I’m way too excited, but seriously these are two pieces you’ll wear over, and over, and over, and over again throughout seasons; not just summer.
Style Note: DO add a blazer for chic sophistication and a dressier look
dress it up with jewels
replace your LBD with a chic black jumpsuit
add a belt to a looser style to break up a solid and accentuate the waist
if you’re a risk taker, go all floral; it’s great for summer
pair with a leather jacket in the evening for an edgier style
layer up with a shirt over and you’ve just taken your jumpsuit and made separates. Hello, two outfits in one!

Now go get ya some and style away!

Belated Birthday

chambray via {similar here & here} // printed shorts {last summer, current here} // clutch // necklace  // similar cuff // rings here & here // gladiators {splurge; save}

Oh hey, loves! You know that bloggin’ thing I used to do? Yeah, it’s been a while, but thanks for sticking around!
It’s been a mad house over here. Super scatterbrained, I can’t even remember if I mentioned I’ve taken on a job working a few days with a celeb stylist: pulls, fittings, and returns for celebrity clients; all that jazz, and of course I’m still stylin’ at Haven Street, so that leaves little time for the blog.
I recently had a birthday, yay me! I don’t know how I feel about it… getting older is a weird thing ;). Anyhow, it was a chill weekend. I didn’t want anything over the top, so I spent a pool day with the fam and then a casual dinner at one of my favorite spots.
So on to this outfit, shall we? Chambray is all the rage and goes perfect with a pair of summer printed shorts and a gladiator or lace up sandal {a few of my summer must-have’s on the StyleME program this season ;)}.

Style Note: Naturally, chambray has this cool feel all it’s own. Play up gorgeous gams with a lightweight cotton printed short or skirt. Balance the look with a relaxed solid top {bleached denim is hawt right now, so try out chambray for relaxed cool}. Add a gladiator or lace up for a little edge and pull the look together. This look is perfect for a low-key date night, casual dinner or even brunch. Add a bright or neon {like my clutch} for a little summer-y bold chic-ness!

It’s Friday! Any fun plans, guys?

Style Me Spring Session

Hello, lady!

If you haven’t heard the seasonal STYLE ME series is back in session, and I wanted to invite you to join me for a spring style series.

The program outlines key pieces to maximize your wardrobe, and is also a step to curating your own unique, effortless style, affordably.
The greatest thing about a seasonal style series, Ok, there are a few:

  1. you’ll receive my checklist of staple pieces that’ll carry you from season to season WITH shopping links at your fingertips
  2. it’s entirely up to you how much you invest in pieces {and many similar, if not exact items, may already be in your closet}
  3. some pieces are fun trends that you can incorporate, or not
There really are so many fun things to the Style Me sessions, and you can get all the details here, but it’s ultimately a small investment in learning to curate a creative style, effortlessly, matching your outer confidence to your inner confidence.
If you’re still feeling conflicted about investing $30 in a program with a personal stylist who’ll assist you in dressing to flatter your figure, challenge you to dress uniquely, and offers tips to do so effortlessly, here’s what I recommend:
Sign up for FREE as a Haven Street Insider {that little pop up box or in the righthand sidebar}. Your first welcome message will give you a feel for my styling philosophy, and I’ll discuss my 3 C’s to simple style.
Go for a walk. No really. Envision yourself incorporating trends that flatter you: your figure, your age, your personality.

I can’t answer for you whether the investment is worth it, but I’d like to ask you this:
Do you get/keep your nails manicured?
Do you see a hairstylist for upkeep?
Do you maintain your health?

Personal style is just another investment in taking care of you and putting your best self forward.

I’d like to impart this: you SHOULD always be dressing to flatter your figure, and you SHOULD be living without feeling weighted down by your clothes, self-conscious, and average.

Working one.on.one with me, the average cost to style and shop for a wardrobe of this magnitude, and prepare styling options for a month would be well over $1,000! But I truly believe great style should be accessible and affordable to everyone. You owe it to yourself to step out with confidence EVERYDAY! I hope you’ll join me…
