Mother’s Day Gift Guide

Alright, so I may have created this gift guide based a little on what I’d like for Mother’s Day ;x {hopefully the hubs is reading this}, but everything is on trend and super stylish for a mom on-the-go.

My top 5 must-haves for chasing after the kids, running errands with everything at your fingertips, and still looking stylishly chic are outlined below with a Style Note:

Espadrilles– Perfect for summer activities when you need the function of a comfy shoe like a tennie, but are opting for fabulous bright, bold style.

High-waisted flare denim trouser– This season’s hottest denim style. Don’t let the high-waist fool you, these are no ‘mom’ jeans. Such a perfect spring/ summer color, you can chase the kiddos in style without giving up comfort!

Tote or Backpack– Perfect for stylishly throwing all your stuff {and inevitably your kids’ stuff} in, and great for shopping trips!

Statement ring– If it’s the only piece of jewelry you wear, complete your outfit with a great statement ring

Cotton Tee– Sometimes days just call for casual, and sometimes a plain white tee is too risky for little fingers. These tees are inexpensive, perfect for pairing with all your denim, and a bright color is a complete mood changer.

Hope you all have a wonderful Mother’s Day and are treated like the Queens you are! Mothering is one tough… mother!

a few more pieces I’ve fallen for at pretty great price points

Gift Guide: For Dad

Is it Father’s day already? I swear it just snuck up on me this year. That’s what happens when you’re busier than a bee.

I don’t know about you, but up until recently, I was always on top of the crafting with A for every holiday, birthday, anniversary…

This year, it’s Friday and while shopping ALONE Thursday I’d just begun planning Father’s Day ideas to blow his socks off.

So here’s my gift guide for great ideas that’ll show dad how loved and appreciated he is… and if you’re just starting TODAY, there are a few basic crafty one’s and some easy store finds too!

Okay, this is awesomsauce! For all the Star Wars fans this ought to be good. I hear there’s also one for dad’s raising little boys.

Great news: Barnes and Noble carries it and you can go online and choose to reserve your copy and pick up right in the store. So if you’re last minute, there’s still time!

Another one my hubs would love. He’s a Sierra Nevada drinker and tends to BYOB to everything. This one might not make it on time if you order today, but it’s pretty cool.

3. Playing Cards Booklet
I actually did this for Valentine’s day last year and it still sits on the hubs desk. And he thumbs through it often!

4. Made by Dad

If you’ve got a crafty handy dad, this book may be perfect.

The hubs got the larger one for his birthday this year, and it’s been a big hit. This one’s mega awesomesauce. “Big sound in a small package,” it’s the modern day boombox. “It gets smarter every time you use it,” offers go anywhere wireless capability, and streams from your iPod, iPad, iPhone, or other bluetooth device.

6. Cubicle Snacks
Mason jars filled with dad’s favorite salty, sweet, and sour candies? Yes! I found this one on good ‘ol Pinterest and made two jars for the hubs’ office. Can you guess which one A was? Of course her cute mug was placed on the sweet jar, and my cheeky grinned face graced the salty snack jar.

Is dad your rockstar? This is a cute idea for the musically inclined dad.

Remember these? It may be a bit too last minute for this gift, but what a cool idea! I had to include this one.
Another practical gift. Speaking from experience, this mug is ideal for travel and work. ‘Nough said. He’ll get a lot of use out of this.

10. Car Play Mat for Relaxing
This is da bomb. After a long day at work what does dad want? A back rub. But the kids want to play. Get the best of both worlds!

All you creative mommas out there could surely find an iron-on or go old school with a sharpie.

Hope these ideas help you celebrate dad!
