June 7th… Birthday Style

A week later, and a final birthday update!
Birthday’s are so much fun. Now that I’m a momma, I find that my days are filled with all things Amélia. And my birthday was no exception. 
We headed to Palos Verdes for a street festival where the bug road ponies, visited animals in the petting zoo, and even hung out with Spiderman! I was happy just watching the smile on her face… and keeping cool in cutoffs and these favorite summer sandals while holding a beer in my hand! It doesn’t get any better than that, folks!
Happy Saturday… have a wonderful weekend. And to all you dads out there, thank you for all you do to help raise amazing little people!

It’s so crazy the older I get the faster the years go. And my birthday day seems to fly by in the blink of  an eye… maybe that’s why we’ve resorted to celebrating birthday weeks?!
I actually didn’t really start celebrating until Thursday night. The hubs came home with margarita mix, chips, and guacamole so while Amélia napped we had cocktail hour. Friday, my loves took me to dinner at the Mission Inn and we treated the bug to a Casey’s cupcake… {I got one too and splurged with a few bites and then a few more Saturday morning for my birthday breakfast!} We all dressed up fancy-like and it was a perfect evening eating outside and strolling the mission!

Disneyland Birthday Date

We finally made it to Disneyland last week for Amélia’s 3rd birthday. It also happened to be the hubs birthday! I actually wound up wearing A’s birthday button and got a ton of ‘Happy Birthday’ wishes from the employees. Ha! I guess you could say it technically kicked off my birthday month since it was exactly 1 month until my birthday!
We had a blast… Amélia got to visit with one of her favorite princesses, Cinderella, and a few others, and the hubs and I took as many pictures as we could when we weren’t all riding a ride together. 
It was a long day, but super fun and I can’t wait to do it again!

her face is so funny… not sure what she was thinking of the zephyr, but she wound up having a blast!

3rd Birthday Celebration

It’s so crazy to think my little girl is 3! I can’t believe how fast time flies. I mean, everyone tells you the time is going to go fast, and you know that in some respect, but you can’t ever prepare for just how fast it actually goes.
In our house, we celebrate birthday weeks! I know, some of you probably do the entire month, but it’s just not possible for our schedules. So, we set aside an entire week. This was her golden birthday {3 on the 3rd.} 
We are taking the bug to Disneyland in a few weeks when our schedules settle a bit, but don’t worry the princess didn’t miss out at all last week. Here’s some pictures of all the celebrations!
